Khan Academy is thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual US National Khanathalon! This exciting nationwide contest challenges students to level up their skills in key areas like math, SAT prep, financial literacy, and Constitution 101. They’ll be competing with schools across the country, making it a thrilling opportunity to not only build proficiency but also showcase their knowledge on a national stage.
The Challenges
The school with the highest percentage of skills leveled up to ‘Proficient’ or ‘Mastered’ in the courses below will win each challenge. They must work on a minimum of 2 skills per week and have at least 25 students per school working on the course. The challenges this year available for schools are:
- Math Maestros – Grade level mathematics
- SAT Stars – We will have two separate challenges this year for Math and Reading/Writing
- Money Masters – Financial Literacy
- Civic Scholars – Constitution 101
We will have an additional category this year – AI Explorers. In this category, the DISTRICTS will compete for the highest percentage of students actively using Khanmigo for the week. Ties will be broken by the highest percentage of teachers using Khanmigo for the week.
