The Khan Academy Assessment team invites your district to apply to participate in our groundbreaking student assessment field tests throughout 2025. If selected, your participating schools will be eligible to receive a pilot of Khan Academy Districts and Khanmigo through school year ’25-26. Time is running out to apply, and we have a limited number of student licenses available.
What is it?
We invite your district to apply to participate in this exciting research project involving high school Algebra 1 and Geometry classrooms. They will participate in three, 50-minute field tests across 2025, beginning in January or February 2025. These field tests will offer students the opportunity to have a learner-centered, AI-powered assessment experience that measures and values what they know and can do. The data gathered from this pilot will be used to shape the future of assessment at Khan Academy. If selected to participate in this research project, we’ll work with your district to ensure the sessions fit seamlessly into your schedule with minimal disruption.
What else should I know?
If selected to participate, you must be able to:
- Administer three, 50-minute testing sessions (Winter ‘25, Spring ‘25, and Fall ‘25)
- 5 minute pre-administration time is included in the 50 minute session time
- Students have the option to pause/resume the assessment as needed
- Fall ‘25 administration will include a new population of students
- Participate in a ~5 min survey following each testing session
- If selected, participate in a virtual ~30 minute focus group
