What started as a three-person hobby to contribute to Khan Academy’s mission has turned into a large community effort to translate content into Traditional Chinese.
Freshman at Fujen Catholic University in Taipei were first introduced to Khan Academy by some of their professors. Now, two other Taiwanese universities have joined the fun to help localize content for Mandarin speakers around the world. To date, more than 400 volunteers and proofreaders have contributed to the effort.
The Critical Inno team has done some incredibly humbling work in a very short period of time. In just six months, platform translations skyrocketed from 3% completion to over 20% (with several volunteers translating nearly 20,000 words every month)!
Students at Fujen Catholic University, Providence Catholic University, and Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages can now partake in Khan Academy translations as a service-learning opportunity.
Congratulations, Critical Inno! Keep up the amazing work!
