KA Turkish Advocate Alp Koksal Keynotes at two Major Conferences in Turkey
Khan Academy Türkçe advocate Alp Köksal was invited as a keynote speaker to the first Education Technologies Summit, organized by Turkey’s Ministry of National Education. The Summit took place in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey; with nationwide participation of educators, teachers, school administrators and education bureaucrats. After the opening speech by the Minister of National Education, Prof. Nabi Avcı, Alp Köksal made a keynote speech regarding the role of Khan Academy Türkçe as an important stakeholder in the Turkish education reform. Bram Bout of Google for Education and Sabine Huber of Intel Education also made opening speeches, followed by the presentations of approximately 100 teachers and educators from all around Turkey. Alp was presented a plaque by the Undersecretary of Turkish National Education, Dr. Yusuf Tekin for his services to education in Turkey.
Alp was also invited as a keyspeaker to the Education Technologies Conference, organized by the Turkish Private Schools Association in Istanbul, in which he delivered a speech about the changes in schools reflected by education technologies as well as Khan Academy’s role in the global education reform.
