As districts plan for the 2026–27 school year, one theme keeps coming up: how do we make it easier for educators to focus on teaching — while still getting the data, insight, and support leaders need?
This back-to-school season, Khan Academy Districts is rolling out a set of updates designed to do exactly that. Here’s a preview of what’s coming.
More flexible ways to get started
For schools and districts serving under 1,000 students, KAD Enterprise Starter introduces a self-serve option that makes setup and roster management simpler — while still providing access to district-level features. It’s a new entry point designed for smaller teams that want flexibility without sacrificing quality.

A reimagined administrator dashboard
Administrators will see a refreshed dashboard experience at a new URL, with clearer navigation and a design that aligns more closely with the teacher experience. All existing features remain — they’re just easier to find and use.

Deeper integrations with the tools districts already use
Upcoming LMS integrations through Clever will allow assignments, progress, and completion data to sync automatically with platforms like Canvas, Google Classroom, and Schoology — reducing manual work for teachers and IT teams.

Smarter Learning Paths informed by MAP Growth and soon, Khan Academy Assessments
Learning Paths will continue to build on MAP Growth and will soon extend to additional assessments offered by Khan Academy.

Crisper Data
Improved filters and export options make it easier to analyze progress across courses, including Khanmigo AI activity in a single export.

Together, these updates reflect our focus on helping districts move forward thoughtfully: supporting educators, strengthening instruction, and making implementation simpler at every level.
