Khanmigo is an innovative AI tool designed to act as a teaching assistant for educators and a study buddy for students. This resource provides personalized, real-time learning support and helps streamline classroom activities.

- For Students: Enhances critical thinking and problem-solving with guided prompts, supports homework and essay writing, and provides a customized learning experience across various subjects, in multiple languages.
- For Educators: Simplifies workflow, identifies student struggles, synthesizes data, assists with lesson planning, and ensures student safety with automated alerts for inappropriate interactions.
Privacy and Security
Khanmigo is committed to protecting student data. A comprehensive Student Data Privacy Agreement has been reviewed and approved by RIDE and is included in every district contract to safeguard user information. Importantly, content submitted by teachers and students is not used to train the AI’s underlying models.
The process for including the RIDE approved DPA in your district contract is as follows:
- You need an SDPC account and login to see the Khan Academy for Districts DPA on the Resource Registry.
- Khan Academy DPA is available through the “SDPC Auto Exhibit E Creator”.
