We are excited to announce the launch of our newest Khan Academy language site: Khan Academy Romanian! Khan Academy Romanian joins the over 30 Khan Academy language sites that already exist, and we are still expanding and adding new translated content (see below for the full list). The vast majority of these sites are translated and maintained by volunteers and international nonprofit organizations – if you are interested in volunteering to translate for Khan Academy, learn more about our volunteer translator program.
A note from the Romanian team
We are very excited to announce the public launch of the Romanian version of the Khan Academy website. After around 7 years of sustained work from independent volunteers, we eventually managed to form a team that could bring the project to this state and which is supported by Invenovi (a non-profit organization looking for opportunities to develop education through innovation). We consider it a true honor to be able to offer Romanian speaking learners the valuable materials at Khan Academy. This achievement was only possible thanks to the enthusiasm of all the people who got invested in this project: parents inside and outside the country, young people, old people, teachers, educators and individuals with various other jobs. All of them were brought together after realising the importance of developing free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.
At the moment, the only content published is for kindergarten and elementary school. But this is just the beginning of a new stage; a great deal of effort is being put into translating Maths, Science, Arts and Humanities.
Anyone who believes in our cause can join the Romanian Translation Community either through volunteer work or financial support.
Suntem entuziasmați să anunțăm lansarea publică a versiunii în limba română a site-ului Khan Academy. După aproximativ 7 ani de muncă susținută a unor voluntari independenți, s-a reunit o echipă care să poată aduce proiectul la acest stadiu și care este susținută de asociația Invenovi (organizație non-profit al cărei scop este oferirea de oportunități pentru învățare prin inovare). Pentru noi, este o adevărată onoare să contribuim la a le oferi vorbitorilor de limbă română o platformă cu materiale atât de valoroase precum cele create de Khan Academy. Acest moment nu ar fi fost posibil fără energia tuturor celor care, de-a lungul anilor, au pus suflet: părinți din țară și din întreaga lume, tineri și adulți entuziaști, profesori, educatori sau oameni având multe alte meserii, dar care au conștientizat importanța dezvoltării unui mediu de învățare diversificat, pentru oricine, de oriunde și gratuit.
Momentan, sunt publicate materiale pentru cei mici (Grădiniță și Matematică Primară). Dar acesta este doar începutul unei noi etape; se lucrează intens la cursuri de Matematică (Algebră, Geometrie, Trigonometrie), Științe (Informatică, Biologie, Chimie, Fizică), discipline Socio-Umane (Istorie și Dezvoltare personală).
Oricine împărtășește cauza noastră, poate să se alăture Comunității Translatorilor de Limba Română a Khan Academy, fie prin participarea efectivă la traducere, fie prin sprijin financiar.
