On May 5th & 6th the Morgridge Family Foundation invited thousands of educators to gather in Denver for Share Fair 2012 – a two day conference on blended learning.
We would like to thank Carrie Morgridge and the Morgridge Family Foundation for inviting us to participate and for putting on such an incredible event. We enjoyed meeting all of the amazing teachers who attended the weekend. All three of our Teacher Resource breakout sessions were standing room only. (Image gallery here)
We also want to extend our gratitude to Governor John Hickenlooper and Lt. Governor Joseph A. Garcia for welcoming us to the great state of Colorado. In fact, the Governor even proclaimed May 5, 2012 as “Khan Academy In Colorado Day”. Mark your calendars for Share Fair 2013 which is scheduled to take place on May 4, 2013.
6/12/12 Update: One of the connections we made at Share Fair was with Alberto M. Carvalho, Superintendent of Schools in Miami-Dade County. We just received word that Alberto and Miami-Dade County Public Schools have endorsed Khan Academy by informing the 20,300+ teachers and over 435 schools about Khan Academy. They have also placed a link on their “Student, Parent, and Employee portal as well as on the school system’s Student, Parent and Community’s website.“
