Khan Academy is excited to share that the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED) has approved the extension of an exciting new initiative, offering free access to Khan Academy’s cutting-edge AI platform, Khanmigo, for all students and educators in grades 5-12 statewide.* This offering is coupled with the introduction of Khan Academy’s “Learning Paths”, bringing personalized learning paths informed by MAP Growth to New Hampshire in October to all districts using MAP Growth, Clever, and have completed the Data Sharing Agreement.

*This initiative is focused on serving students in grades 5-12 because this age group is able to engage with AI under supervision most appropriately. Visit this link to learn more about how to work with Khan Academy to support students and teachers in younger grades, or non-traditional settings.

See Khanmigo on 60 Minutes

We were absolutely honored to be featured on CBS’s 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper! You can watch the full episode on our blog. This experience allowed us to share our vision for education and show how artificial intelligence can empower learners and teachers alike. Featuring footage from our offices and of classrooms in School City of Hobart, an Indiana partner district and Khan Lab School, we think the segment captured the heart of what we do: drive learning for students around the world.

Writing Symposium

Khan Academy Principal Product Manager for Literacy & Classroom Experience,, Sarah Robertson, was joined by New Hampshire educators in February 2025. They took a deep dive into the new and improved Khan Academy Writing Coach. You can catch a recording of the event below. Educators discussed challenges in teaching writing, the role of AI in learning versus cheating, and how Writing Coach can support students through the writing process. The recorded discussion covers the features of Writing Coach, its instructional purpose, teacher reporting, and ethical considerations of AI in classrooms.
